Although people have installed Yosemite on several older Core 2 Duo models (that's Core 2 Duos, not Core Duos), the C2Ds that are really viable choices are the earliest Mac Pros: Mac Pro 1,1 and Mac Pro 2,1. These machines are good candidates because a) you can upgrade the RAM well beyond 4GB, and b) you can swap out video cards as necessary to.
